Bo Nix
Bo Nix's Rushing Has Vanished, and His Fantasy Floor Went With It
Bo Nix is Denver's starting quarterback, and in his first two seasons his fantasy value came from pairing steady passing volume with real work as a runner. He threw 567 passes as a rookie in 2024 and 612 in 2025, and he ran 92 and 83 times in those years for 430 and 356 yards and nine rushing touchdowns combined. That rushing gave him a floor that most pocket passers don't have, and it helped him finish 12th and 16th in PPR points in those two seasons.
Six games into 2026, the picture looks different on a per-game basis. He is averaging 12.1 PPR points per game, down from 18.6 in 2025 and 19.4 in 2024, and he ranks 64th in PPR points. His passing has slipped. He is averaging about 175 yards per game after topping 220 in each of his first two years, completing 60.3 percent of his throws, and gaining 5.6 yards per attempt against 6.4 and 6.7 previously. He has 6 touchdowns, about one per game, after averaging close to 1.5 and 1.7. The bigger drop is on the ground. He has 37 rushing yards on 22 carries, about 6 yards per game, after averaging 21 and 25 in his first two seasons. Most of the floor that made him a reliable starter has disappeared.
Clutch Edge projects him for 18.0 points per game, ranked 82nd overall among QB/RB/WR/TE. That number assumes he gets most of the way back to his 2024 and 2025 production, so the case for rostering him is a bet on a rebound rather than a reflection of what he has done this year. In DFS, his ceiling depends on the rushing coming back. Without it, he has to win as a pure passer, and at 5.6 yards per attempt he hasn't shown he can do that.
Two things would change the outlook. A return to four or five carries a game that turn into real yardage would restore the floor that made him a top-16 finisher. More efficient passing would also help, with yards per attempt climbing back above 6 and touchdowns near his old rate. Until one of those shows up in the box score, treat the projection as optimistic and judge him by the six games we have.
