Baker Mayfield

Baker Mayfield is a volume pocket passer who adds a steady rushing floor. Across his last three full seasons in Tampa Bay he threw between 543 and 570 times. Since 2024 he has added about 22 rushing yards per game, more than double the roughly 10 per game he ran for in 2023. His fantasy output rises and falls mostly with touchdown passes: 41 in 2024, against 26 in 2025 and 28 in 2023.

The 2026 sample is three games, and it is the weakest stretch in this data. He is averaging about 12.4 PPR points per game, down from roughly 16.6 in 2025, 22.5 in 2024 and 16.7 in 2023. His volume looks normal at 32 attempts per game, matching 2025, and his 61-of-96 completion rate (about 64%) is in line with 2023 and 2025. The drop comes from efficiency. He is at 205 passing yards per game, against 217 in 2025 and 265 in 2024, and he has two touchdown passes against two interceptions. His legs are still contributing: 65 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown, a pace in line with the prior two seasons. His 2024 completion rate of about 71% stands out as the outlier in his record.

For this week there is no fantasy or DFS case. He is listed as Out and sits at QB #2 on the depth chart, so he should not be in season-long lineups or DFS builds. The Clutch Edge projection of 16.2 points per game, ranked #177 among QB/RB/WR/TE, matches his 2023 and 2025 baselines. That number only matters if he returns to active status and gets back to the top of the depth chart. If both happen, the 30-plus attempts and rushing yardage give him a QB2-type floor in superflex formats. Climbing back toward his 2024 ceiling would depend on his touchdown rate recovering. Until his status changes, he is a hold-or-cut decision in season-long leagues, not a start.
