Trevor Lawrence

Trevor Lawrence's touchdown surge drives his pace as rushing fades

Projection19.2pts / game
Season2026
UpdatedOctober 20, 2026

Lawrence is Jacksonville's starting quarterback, and through six games of 2026 his production is coming almost entirely through the air. He has completed 120 of 184 passes (65.2 percent) for 1,480 yards, 14 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. That works out to about 247 passing yards, 2.3 passing touchdowns and 8.0 yards per attempt per game. His legs have been a minor factor: 17 carries for 70 yards, roughly 2.8 rushes and 12 yards a game, with no rushing touchdowns.

That is a different profile from 2025, when he averaged 20.6 PPR points over 17 games. Last year he threw for about 236 yards and 1.7 touchdowns per game at 7.2 yards per attempt, and his rushing did a lot of work: 4.8 carries, 21 yards per game and 9 rushing touchdowns. In 2023 he averaged 251 passing yards but only 1.3 touchdowns per game, plus 4.4 carries for 21 yards, which came to 17.3 points per game. His 2024 was limited to 10 games and was his weakest per-game season at 15.2 points. His current 19.7 points per game sits between those years and ranks him 12th in PPR scoring. The ingredients are unusual for him, though: the best efficiency and touchdown rate on this page, paired with the least rushing.

The fantasy read hinges on that touchdown rate. Lawrence is throwing a touchdown on about 7.6 percent of his attempts, compared with 5.2 percent in 2025 and 3.7 percent in 2023. If that rate drifts back toward his history and the rushing stays at this level, his floor shrinks, because he no longer has last year's goal-line and scramble production to fall back on. Clutch Edge projects him for 19.2 points per game, slightly below his current pace and ranked 47th overall. That projection reflects some expected cooling.

For DFS, his value right now comes from passing ceiling rather than a dual-threat floor. Two things would change the outlook. A return toward the four-to-five carries per game he had in 2023 and 2025 would restore a safety net that has been missing. Sustained yards per attempt near 8.0 would make the touchdown production look more durable than a six-game spike.
