Amon-Ra St. Brown

Red-zone volume has St. Brown at his career-best scoring pace

Projection23.6pts / game
Season2026
UpdatedOctober 20, 2026

Amon-Ra St. Brown is Detroit's top slot receiver, and his production comes from volume rather than depth. Through five games in 2026 he has 57 targets, about 11.4 per game, but only 244 air yards, roughly 4.3 per target. That is the shortest average depth of his last four seasons. He turns that short work into 7.4 catches per game at 10.1 yards per reception. The bigger story is near the goal line: 16 red-zone targets in five games is 3.2 per game, which has already produced 5 touchdowns.

Per game, this is his heaviest usage of the stretch. He is averaging 11.4 targets, up from 10.1 in 2025, 8.3 in 2024 and 10.3 in 2023. His red-zone looks have climbed every year, from 1.4 per game in 2023 to 1.8 in 2024, 2.0 in 2025 and now 3.2. His yardage has not kept pace. His 74.4 yards per game matches his 2024 rate and trails both 2025 (82.4) and 2023 (94.7). His 20.8 PPR points per game edges his 2023 mark of 20.7 and beats 2025 (19.1) and 2024 (18.6). His PPR rank of 28 is a partial-season total and understates that pace.

The fantasy value rests on a high floor plus touchdown access. Seven-plus catches a game in PPR gives him a steady base, and the red-zone role adds the ceiling. The weak spot is efficiency. One touchdown per game is well above his prior rate of 0.63 to 0.71, and his yards per catch and depth are at their lowest of the four seasons. If he keeps getting three red-zone targets a game, he scores often enough to justify a top price. If that share falls back toward his 2025 level of about two, his output looks more like the 19-point player of last season.

Clutch Edge projects him for 23.6 points per game, sixth among all QB/RB/WR/TE. That is above every per-game season in his data, so the projection assumes both the volume and the red-zone role hold. In DFS, his salary should be measured against that projection. The things to watch are his target count staying near 11 and his red-zone looks staying elevated. A drop in either would pull his ceiling back toward his historical range.
