Trey McBride
Trey McBride's volume keeps him a weekly PPR anchor at tight end
McBride is Arizona's TE1, a 2022 second-round pick (No. 55) out of Colorado State who at 26 has turned into a volume-first receiver. His production comes from catches, not chunk plays. Through six games he has 65 targets and 49 receptions, roughly 10.8 targets and 8.2 catches per game, but only 7.4 yards per reception. That is a short-area, high-frequency role, which is exactly what PPR scoring rewards.
The year-over-year picture is a steady climb in usage. His targets per game have gone from about 6.2 in 2023 to 9.2 in 2024, 9.9 in 2025, and 10.8 so far in 2026. The efficiency is moving the other way. His yards per catch held between 10.2 and 10.3 in 2023-24, slipped to 9.8 last year, and sits at 7.4 now, so his yardage pace (about 60 per game) trails 2025's roughly 73. Touchdowns have filled the gap. After just 2 scores in 2024 he found the end zone 11 times in 2025, and he already has 3 this year on 13 red-zone targets, a slightly higher per-game red-zone rate than last season's 32 over 17 games.
For fantasy and DFS, his 103.1 PPR points work out to about 17.2 per game, a bit below 2025's roughly 18.6 but well above 2024's 15.6. That ranks 31st overall so far. Clutch Edge projects him for 14.9 points per game, below what he has actually produced, which suggests the model expects the catch volume or touchdown rate to cool. The floor comes from receptions, and the ceiling comes from red-zone work.
Two things would change the read. If his target pace drops back toward 2024 levels while his yards per catch stays in the 7s, there is little yardage cushion to absorb it. If his efficiency rebounds toward his career norm of about 10 yards per catch on this volume, his weekly output would climb above his current pace.
